Fast Herman is a member of the Fast Lines fleet. It is named after Herman Scheers, one of the founders of Fast Lines. This vessel stands as a tribute to the visionary who played a big role in shaping the company's success.
The vessel is proudly sailing under the Belgian flag and its crew consists of skilled seamen. Besides Fast Herman, our fleet family contains Fast Sim, Fast Sus and Fast Jef. These fleets embody the familial and collaborative spirit that defines Fast Lines.
Highest Ice class short-sea vessel
Fast Herman is a short-sea vessel with the highest Ice class. It is designed for exceptional versatility to navigate from the Mediterranean Sea to the Baltic Sea all year round. Its operational range extends to key destinations such as Helsinki, Oslo, Riga and Bilbao. This shows its adaptability and strategic reach. The vessel is distinguished by its box-shaped design. It is characterized by a rectangular cargo hold resembling a shoebox.
Fast Herman stands out with its bold red colour in an industry filled with blues, greys, greens, and blacks. All our Fast Lines vessels, including Fast Herman, do not have onboard cranes. We keep it simple and efficient.
Fast Herman’s qualities
Fast Herman is much more than its nice design and operational capabilities. It is the crew's dedication that makes it special. Many have called it their second home for a decade or more. Built in 2006, Fast Herman blends tradition, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
